botox
As we age, fine lines and wrinkles can develop due to repetitive movement in the muscle. Botox continues to be one of the most popular non-surgical treatments in the UK, and for good reason. It can help with fine lines, crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, and the “11” lines between each eyebrow.

This, in turn, reduces fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and sagginess, and promotes firmer and overall fresher-looking skin from the inside out.

FAQs
how long does botox take to work?
Botulinum toxin is regarded as a non-surgical treatment. The treatment involves several tiny injections of Botox® that are administered directly into the skin to facial lines associated with movement. Treatment typically takes around 15 minutes and no anaesthetic is necessary as discomfort is minimal.
When will I see the results from Botox?
Botox® treatments usually take effect after 3-5 days and take 2 weeks for the maximum effect to come. There is a small possibility of minor bruising, this will resolve over a few days.
After two weeks, the effects of the treatment softens. The effect lasts between 3 to 6 months (average 4 months). Patients who have had several injections often find the effect persists longer in specific areas such as the forehead.
What are the possible Side Effects of Botox?
Side effects of treatment are generally relatively mild, temporary and resolved without additional treatment. There may be mild discomfort or a stinging sensation as the injection is administered. Some mild redness and swelling for several hours after treatment are common, and uncommonly (less than 5%) a bruise.
Occasionally there can be asymmetry, and at two weeks a minor touch up treatment can be completed. Very rarely, there can be a temporary mild weakness of the upper eyelid or brow (termed ptosis) with drooping of the eyelid or brow, typically lasting a week. This is temporary and eye drops can be prescribed to counter this effect. All side effects are temporary and resolved without additional treatment.
What are dermal fillers made from and how do they work?
Dermal fillers can be made from different materials. At Pure `renewal Aesthetics we only use fillers that have the ‘Gold-Standard’ level of safety (Termed FDA approval). These fillers are made from hyaluronic acid (termed HA fillers). HA is a naturally occurring sugar that exists in our skin, joints and nerve tissue. Hyaluronic acid in fillers is manufactured and contains no animal products, hence allergies and reactions to the filler are very rare.
How long will my filler enhancement procedure take?
Most non-surgical techniques take between 45-60 minutes to complete the procedure. Each treatment includes a full consultation to ensure we understand the look you’re trying to achieve.
How long does it take to see the results?
One of the advantages of filler treatment with dermal fillers is that results are relatively instant, and can be seen at the end of the treatment.
